A competitive fellowship for African students (not Egyptian nationals, and not those with a second, non-African nationality) to take a master's degree in any discipline at The American University in Cairo. It covers tuition for up to nine credits a semester, a stipend, student services and activities fees, medical and health insurance fees, and a monthly housing allowance or a room in university residence, and may cover remedial English. It lasts up to five semesters and one summer session. Fellows work 12 hours a week on related academic tasks, study full time and keep a GPA of at least 3.2. Applicants need admission to an AUC graduate programme, a TOEFL iBT or academic IELTS score, and financial need. Apply online for admission, then submit the fellowship application; the cycle deadlines are on AUC's website.
