ETH Zurich's scholarship for excellent master's students covers the full study and living costs of the degree: a grant of CHF 13,500 per semester (from autumn 2027) and a tuition fee waiver for the regular length of the programme, together with mentorship and the ETH Foundation network. About 60 scholarships are planned for the 2027/28 start. Applicants need a very good bachelor's result (top 10% of their programme) and must not already hold a master's degree or be enrolled in an ETH master's programme. The application is made through the online master's application, with a master's thesis pre-proposal and, where the programme asks for none, two professor references. The application window for a start in autumn 2027 is 1–30 November 2026. Decisions are communicated at the end of March.
