"The European Master’s in Clinical Linguistics (EMCL-25) is the successor of four EMJMD editions spanning over 25 years of work in line with the EMJM objectives of attracting, selecting, and funding excellence. We conceived the programme in 1997 and had our first student intake in 1999. After that, we obtained two Erasmus Mundus labels in 2004 and 2009, under the name of European Master’s in Clinical Linguistics (EMCL), a third one in 2016, under the name of European Master’s in Clinical Linguistics+ (EMCL+), and a fourth one in 2020 under the name of European Master’s in Clinical Linguistics++ (EMCL++). Similar to our first editions, the new EMCL-25 programme is a 24-month 120 ECTS full-time interdisciplinary and transnational university programme at the master’s level providing integrated training in clinical linguistics, neurolinguistics and psycholinguistics. Having learned over the years, the new EMCL-25 trains students from all over the world on the latest topics of our field, implements innovative teaching methods, and benefits from strong collaborations with associated partners in academia, R&D and the clinical sector. With our new complementary and integrated approach, we aim to maintain the excellence of our course, and to broaden the employability of our graduates.
