Programme Description The Herder Fellowship Programme is aimed at researchers of all qualification levels (doctoral students, postdocs and proven experts in historical research on East Central Europe), especially from Central and Eastern European countries. The programme also welcomes applications from scholars in other regions, excluding those based in Germany. The Fellowhip enables a research stay of up to 4 weeks in the library and the scientific collections of the Herder Institute and is endowed with 1,900 EUR. Fellows have the option of staying in the guest house in the Behring Villa for the duration of their stay. In addition, fellows have the opportunity to present their project plans at one of the meetings of the Herder Institute Research Academy.
