The International Joint Master programme in Contemporary Challenges in the World of Work (WOCC) is an innovative joint 2-year master's program designed to tackle the dynamic and complex landscape of global labour markets. Offered in English, Spanish, and French, it is run by a consortium comprising the University of Lille (France), Laval University (Canada), Libre University of Brussels (Belgium), University of Buenos Aires (Argentina), Complutense University of Madrid (Spain), and Sapienza University of Rome (Italy). Given the evolving labour market shaped by globalization, technological advancements, and the climate crisis, the WOCC Master aims to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively address multifaceted challenges related to employment policies, decent work, and sustainability. The project enhances employability by combining scientific expertise with strong connections with national and international entities such as the ILO, ANACT, CESE, ETUC, and CLACSO. Through internships and structured support, the WOCC Master bridges academic and professional practice. Designed and driven by a multicultural and multidisciplinary team of 73 staff members, the programme offers 70 EMJM high-level scholarships across four editions for 120 students, who can choose from three specialized tracks: (1) Work, Health, and Environment, (2) Global Value Chains and Labour Relations, and (3) Regulations of Labour and Sustainable Organization Management. Graduates will receive national diplomas based on their chosen track along with a joint diploma supplement, reflecting the programme's collaborative nature.
