NucPhys is a 120 ECTS master programme in Nuclear Physics offered by 6 Universities: Seville, Barcelona, Caen, Catania, Complutense de Madrid and Padova, distributed in 3 countries: Spain, France, and Italy and with a large international network of associated partners. Nuclear Physics is a remarkable field that ranges from fundamental knowledge of Nature to applications on important needs of society, such as energy resources, biomedical science, and environmental studies. Our main objective is to train top-ranked students providing an excellent background in Nuclear Physics (theory, experiments and applications) to meet the present needs of society and foster their careers thanks to a double educational approach: forming well-prepared specialists to enter the industry and students capable of developing research programs following a PhD. This is accomplished by gathering the strong research expertise of the beneficiaries, and the collaboration of the most important European and worldwide nuclear research facilities (institutional and industrial). Activities cover visits to top-quality centers and hospitals; an internship to be chosen among different centers at Caen (France) and whose defense will gather different promotions of students and representatives of all beneficiaries; and a Master thesis chosen among universities and associated centers with the possibility of joint supervision. We expect to receive around 150 applicants per edition, selecting only 25. In our previous experience, 90% of students completed the program, and more than 80% were employed within 3 months after graduation. Internal and external Quality assessments will be done at an intermediate state and at the end of the project. We expect to enhance the technological basis in the EU by providing the best training in Nuclear Physics to the best students. It will promote the international dimension of the EHEA and will bring concrete benefits for students, academics and administrative staff.
