KAIST in South Korea gives international graduate students a scholarship covering full tuition and a monthly stipend; 94% of its international students receive one. The KAIST scholarship includes full tuition, national health insurance and a stipend that depends on research involvement and varies by college. Highly ranked applicants are also considered for the KAIST Global Presidential Scholarship (master's and integrated master's-PhD: full tuition and 1,000,000 KRW a month for four semesters) or the KAIST Prestige Scholarship (integrated and PhD: full tuition and 300,000 KRW a month for eight semesters, on the department head's recommendation). It is open to international applicants to KAIST graduate programmes in every department except the GDI-GTIP track. Select the KAIST scholarship option in the application; accepted candidates are considered automatically. Admission runs in Spring, Fall Early and Fall Regular rounds; check KAIST's admissions site for the current round's dates.
