Every student admitted to a master's or PhD at KAUST in Saudi Arabia receives the KAUST Fellowship. It covers full tuition and bench fees (worth up to USD 35,000 a year), a stipend of USD 20,000 a year for master's students or USD 25,000–30,000 for PhD students depending on qualifications and progress, base campus housing, health insurance for the student and dependents on campus, and relocation support for the initial move and the return home. KAUST values the whole package at USD 70,000–80,000 a year. Master's degrees are offered in 17 subjects, on a 1.5-year non-thesis or two-year thesis track. Some students with external sponsorship may not receive the fellowship. Application deadlines are listed on KAUST's admissions site.
