A scholarship for young African women at Université Mohammed VI Polytechnique in Morocco, open to women from all backgrounds, including young mothers, refugees and displaced women, and women with disabilities. UM6P plans to support 575 scholars over ten years. It covers full tuition, housing and living expenses, health insurance, annual flights, and English and French language training, with leadership and career coaching, entrepreneurship support, internships and mentoring. Supported programmes include all UM6P master's programmes, the Architecture degree, the engineering schools, the Bachelor's in Nursing and the Bachelor's in Management and Hospitality. Applicants first go through UM6P admission (an online application and, for eligible candidates, written and oral entrance exams), then apply separately for the scholarship once admitted. Engineering candidates who narrowly miss the entrance exam may be offered a fully funded one-year "Step Up" bridging programme. Part of the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program, which supports academically talented young Africans who face financial or social barriers to education. The program particularly encourages applications from young women, refugees and displaced people, and people with disabilities.
