Europe needs specialists in Theoretical Chemistry, Computational Modelling who are able to thoroughly understand the most important hot-topics (Machine Learning, Drug Design, Astrochemistry, Attochemistry, New Material Design, High Performance Computing, Quantum Computing, …) and contribute the future breakthrough. To attract European and non-European students towards and train them in this cutting-edge knowledge and techniques, we propose a two-year Master’s degree in Theoretical Chemistry and Computational Modelling supported by 8- degree awarding Universities in Spain, France, The Netherlands, Belgium, and Italy. The absence of any other European Master in this domain encourages us to federate around our project a large consortium of 54 Associated Partners (Universities, Computation Centres and Companies). We argue that it is a unique opportunity for our students to integrate some of the most prestigious scientific entities of the world. For our associated partners, it is an opportunity to attract students whom we hope to be the best in the field. TCCM benefits from extra-fundings coming from the consortium partners, which allows us to accommodate 30-40 self-funded students per year. The study plan is designed to ensure an easy fulfilment of the EM rules for compulsory mobilities for all granted and self-funded students. We propose two first-year study tracks for teaching the necessary basis in Theoretical Chemistry, and intensive courses covering all the above hot-topics during the first semester of the second year. Then, a Master’s Thesis Internship is done at any member of the consortium when students are confronted with up-to-date methods and techniques to solve hot issues and when associated partners have the opportunity to evaluate the students they may recruit.
